Prayer to Mater Dolorosa


O most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, you became my Mother during your extreme desolation at the foot of the Cross and with the Apostle John, I take you for my own Mother.
Let me always remember that I am the child of your sorrows, for what child would not want to console his mother in her deepest sorrows.. May I live my life so as to dry your tears and console your afflicted heart. Be my guardian during life O Mary and defend me from the wiles and snares of the devil.
Be mindful of my prayer whenever I call upon you in my needs and cares. Please obtain for me all the graces I need for the sanctification and salvation of my soul, for you are the Mediatrix of All Graces, you are the Co-Redemptrix of the world. Amen
